EAST END TENDER COMPANYEXCLUSIVE DEALER · LOAD LINE TENDERS Book a boat

Multi-day & commercial

Your guests want a tender. Your yacht can't carry one.

A 45-foot catamaran comes with a dinghy that does eight knots and seats four. It won't get anyone to Jost and back before dark. We put a real tender on the back of your charter for the week — delivered to your anchorage, towed behind you, kept overnight.

At anchor, USVI

How the programme works

Three things a rental counter can't do

Trade rates that fall as the charter lengthens, a tender rigged and rated to be towed behind you, and delivery to wherever you happen to be anchored — with the boat staying on your stern all week instead of coming back to a dock every evening.

01 · Trade rate

The longer the charter, the lower the day rate
3–6 days15% off
7–13 days25% off
14+ days35% off

Applies to the four self-drive tenders, including the 19 Tiller at $650 a day. A 5.8 m on a seven-night charter works out to $619 a day. Brokers and management companies booking repeat weeks get the 14-day rate from the first booking — ask us.

02 · Tow-behind

Built to be towed — for crewed yachts only

Load Line Tenders are designed to be towed — that isn't a concession, it's the brief. Waterline length is why: the 19 has a hull speed of about 5.5 knots and the 21 about 5.9, against roughly 4 for a typical yacht dinghy. Behind a yacht averaging 6.5 knots that's the difference between a tender in displacement trim and one being dragged 60% past its limit. 5 mm 5083 commercial hulls, bow tow point recessed into the stringer system, self-bailing cockpit so a wet tow doesn't arrive full of water, and a hull that tracks behind a cat instead of yawing across her wake. The endorsement covers a two-leg bridle sized to your hulls, a floating polypropylene painter, and a handover briefing with your captain.

We don't tow behind bareboats. The captain named on the tow rider holds the licence and the responsibility, and we verify it before the boat leaves the dock. Bareboat charters can still take a tender — delivered to and collected from your anchorage instead. Davits will not take these boats — a rigged 5.8 m RIB is roughly three times the load a production cat's davits are rated for. This is a tow-behind product only.

03 · Delivery & overnight

She stays with you — we don't want her back each night

Overnight retention is included in the trade rate. The tender lives on your stern for the whole charter, so nobody is running a shuttle at dusk and nobody loses an afternoon to a dock handover.

We deliver and collect at anchor anywhere from Charlotte Amalie east to Coral Bay, including Christmas Cove, Great Cruz and Francis Bay, at no charge — charter yachts never see the Compass Point dock unless they want to. Outside that box, or a BVI hand-back, we quote the run.

If something breaks at anchor on a Tuesday, the captained Protector comes to you with a spare. That's the part a rental counter in Red Hook cannot do — and it isn't only for our own boats. Same-day parts, delivered alongside — and the power, water and fabrication behind them.

The Protector works differently

She isn't a tender you keep — she's a day charter and service boat, booked by the day or the hour and back on her own mooring at night. Charter yachts use her for guest transfers to the seaplane, provisioning runs into Red Hook, getting a late arrival out to the boat at anchor, and coming to you with a spare when something breaks mid-charter. $395/hr with a two-hour minimum, or a full day at published rates. No trade ladder and she doesn't go on tow.
